For Trauma (Alcohol) Use whole plants: Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang (Wang Qingren’s 王清任 (1768-1831) Yilin Gaicuo 醫林改錯) (Orifice-Freeing Blood Quickening Decoction). Ingredients: Chi Shao 9g + Chuanxiong 9g +Tao Ren 27g + Hong Hua 27g + Cong Bai 9g + Da Zao 21 pieces + Sheng Jiang 27g + She Xiang (synthetic) 0.45g (if available and affordable) +Bai Jiu (alcohol) 1 litre (high percentage: 50% or above, e.g. moonshine or vodka). Indications: Invigorates the Blood; Dispels Blood Stasis; Opens the orifices.
